John Valves in the 1800s

For over a century, John Valves has been a household name in Australian Industry. Today, 'John' products are demanded by engineers and designers right around the world, for duties on projects ranging from the innovative to the essential.

John Valves set the standard with products in water supply, building services, power generation, oil and gas production and refining, mining and mineral processing, and petrochemical industries in Australia and around the world.

From humble beginnings in 1895, the company has grown and developed, meeting the constantly changing needs of industrial growth and winning a reputation for the quality and reliability of its products and service.

Quality and excellence are two very important parts of our Mission Statement.

John Valves present 12 hectare manufacturing plant uses high technology equipment, computer controlled machining facilities, electric induction furnaces, approved mechanical and chemical laboratories, research and development flow testing equipment.

John products include an extensive range of gate, globe, check, ball, butterfly, level control, air release, parallel slide valves and penstocks. Many of these are listed in our Online Valve Catalogue.

John Valves is registered with Quality Assurance Services Pty. Ltd., (a subsidiary of Standards Australia) as a Quality Endorsed Company operating quality systems in accordance with ISO 9001. John Valves Certificate of Registration is Licence Number QEC 0162.

John Valves also hold specific product certification to relevant Australian Standards for its range of bronze gate and check valves, cast iron gate, check, sluice valves and spring hydrants.

The John capability also encompasses the casting and machining of custom made components.
